August 5, 2026
Lead Entities: Rising Tide Communications, Tastemaker Comms
Grant Component: Governance Coordination Outreach, Market Development

As part of the AMC Marketing Program, the Alaska Mariculture Alliance (AMA) and Southeast Conference (SEC) are pleased to announce the launch of two newly developed websites supporting Alaska’s growing mariculture industry: a redesigned AMA website and a new consumer-facing website for the Alaska Mariculture brand. Developed by contractors Tastemaker Comms & Rising Tide Communications, the websites provide new platforms for sharing industry information and promotional materials, connecting with audiences, and building awareness of Alaska-grown shellfish and seaweed.
The new AMA website also features a new media library with high-quality photographs showcasing Alaska’s mariculture farmers, products, communities, and working waterfronts. These assets are available to support industry communications, media coverage, outreach, and promotional efforts, helping partners tell the story of Alaska mariculture through fresh and authentic imagery.
About the AMC Marketing Program
Funded through the AMC’s Market Development grant component, the Alaska Mariculture Alliance (AMA) and Southeast Conference (SEC) have launched a robust marketing program to increase awareness, demand, and long-term market opportunities for Alaska’s growing mariculture industry. The AMC Marketing Program is being advanced by Tastemaker Comms in partnership with Rising Tide Communications – two experienced firms with extensive backgrounds in seafood marketing, brand development, and campaign execution.
The Juneau FAM trip will generate stories, recipes, and social media content that introduce new audiences to Alaska oysters and kelp. Additional FAM trips and marketing activities, including an upcoming press visit to Ketchikan and Prince of Wales Island, will continue connecting storytellers with farmers, businesses, and industry leaders to build awareness of Alaska mariculture.
